A newly designed 33 m² hideaway for two, where lime plaster, walnut, brass and soft mineral tones meet centuries of Antwerp history.
Barseloene is the first Sevensterre residence to welcome guests. Hidden in Antwerp’s historic heart, it places the cathedral, Grote Markt, the Scheldt, fashion, art and remarkable dining within an unhurried walk.

Inside Barseloene
Sevensterre – Barseloene is an intimate studio for two, designed by barh.design and set on the first floor of the historic house. The living area has a comfortable two-seater sofa and a dining table with two chairs: a quiet place to share breakfast, cook or unwind after a day in Antwerp.
Lighting, heating and access are discreetly controlled by a home-automation system. Fan convectors provide warmth on colder days and cooling when the city heats up. For your safety, the studio is connected to a central fire-detection system.
The sleeping alcove holds a new 160 × 200 cm box-spring bed. Tucked away within the studio, it makes the city feel suddenly distant and gives the night a sense of calm.
The alcove is slightly raised above the living area and is reached by three steps.
The windows have a double curtain treatment: a light-filtering privacy curtain screens the studio from street view during the day, while a second blackout curtain darkens the room completely for a restful night.
The kitchen is fitted with a Miele hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher, as well as a Liebherr refrigerator with a small freezer compartment.
There is ample cookware and tableware to prepare complete meals for two or three people. On request, we can fill the refrigerator with a selection of local products before your arrival.
The bathroom has a shower bath with a glass screen, a washbasin with storage and a heated, illuminated mirror.
The toilet is part of the bathroom but is visually screened by a privacy wall.
You stay directly with the owners, without intermediaries. They live in the adjoining house and are close at hand for practical questions, local recommendations or particular wishes, while always respecting your privacy.
Sevensterre is shaped around the experience and the smallest details. Our approach is deliberately personal: close to the original idea of a bed and breakfast, where guests are welcomed by the people behind the house.
Breakfast can be arranged, with the possibilities discussed during your stay. Or you can step outside and choose for yourself: Antwerp is one great culinary journey, from a first coffee around the corner to remarkable dining across the city.
The studio is on the first floor and is reached by a staircase of 18 steps. There is no lift. A basic level of mobility is therefore necessary to enjoy the studio comfortably and safely. If you have any questions or doubts, please contact us before booking so we can consider together whether Barseloene is right for your stay.
The studio is primarily designed for two people. A cot can be placed on request, or a comfortable additional air mattress can be provided. The possibilities and any supplement are agreed in advance.
Pets are welcome on request and for a small supplement. Please tell us beforehand so we can prepare everything properly.
A launderette is within walking distance. If that is not sufficient for a longer stay, tell us what you need and we will gladly look for a suitable solution with you.
A stay at Sevensterre begins with a minimum of two nights. As a rule, we do not offer single-night stays: Sevensterre is a place to truly experience Antwerp, not simply to spend the night.
